  1. I’ve always liked Enya’s songs….I didn’t know Tia Carrere sang. Recorded songs, I mean….I like “Picture of You”. Used to keep playing it on air back in my college DJ days…Starship song was one of the first pop songs I learned to sing from start to end. It was actually originally from the first Mannequin movie. Hate the local revival!…I like “Moment of Truth”, but never enough to make it to my list of faves….
I haven’t thought of a list, but two songs immediately come to mind: “A Thousand Years” (Twilight part-whatever…I am not really a fan) and “She’s The One” (The Matchmaker — Janeane Garofalo movie)

    • Enya’s one of my faves. I’m glad this list led you to hear Tia’s recorded song. I’m not sure if she has released some albums tho. I read somewhere she has but it might be like a niche based kind just like Helen Slater’s albums. I can’t mesh the local interpretation of the “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now,” either. Wish someone approach Idk, Christian Bautista or Gary V for their own love team song, I guess. I tried to like song “A Thousand Years” before sometimes, I do like it and Kristen’s S. face came barging in and it destroys it. lolz. Haven’t heard that one from Janeane Garofalo, will check it out.

      • If we want a good interpretation of “Nothing’s Gonna…,” it can’t be by Christian ’cause it’s just going to end up like a ballad again, and Gary, while he’s a fave of mine, he’ll overdo it. I don’t have the same problem as yours when it comes to “Thousand Years” because I heard it long before I found out it was part of the movie. Meanwhile, this is The Matchmaker movie and this is the song I am referring to: She’s the One. I’m sure you’ve heard it before already.

      • Perhaps Martin N or eh, Bamboo. Hmm, I wonder how “Nothing’s Gonna…” sound with a rockier edge to it? Oh, well… “The Matchmaker – set in Ireland. 😀 Have you seen “Leap Year,” too? Right, heard of “She’s the One” all right. One of Robbie’s best songs. 😀

      • Martin would be a perfect fit, I think. Even if he’s more of a balladeer, keri n’ya ‘yun. Not sure how Bamboo’s going to attack it, though, he’s a rocker. ‘Yung “Matchmaker” is definitely way too far from being the best flick, but for some reason, it has this…certain charm. Many like it, but many also hate it. I like it. I even liked the Irish songs they sang at the pub. Meanwhile, I think Robbie’s song has made it to other movies as well.

      • Yeah, I like the Irish songs. 😀 Hope this movie cycles on cable soon, if it has before, hmm, missed it. Yeah, “She’s the One” made it on films, can’t recall lang. 😀
